Memorial holiday 2026. The holiday is a commemoration of USA soldiers that didn't return home defending our country. There was a biopic of the flag raising of Iwo Jima during WWII. Of the flag bearers was an Indigenous soldier named ,Ira Hayes. The morale of the tale is freedom isn't free.
The biopic was a testament to not solely the realities of war but the manner these young heroes were mishandled and essentially politically pawned following the war.
There was further a biopic I have posted of prior starring Christian Bale that was a true story during the war crimes and human rights violations of 1937’s Rape of Nanjing by Imperial Japan - an imperial army that was essentially ravaging the Pacific within utter impunity. They were enacting rape of Nanjing throughout the Pacific. They tyrannized Guam, Okinawa, Philippines, Dutch East Indies, Indochina, British Malay, Singapore, Burma, India, and the Pacific Islands to name a few. The biopic was adapted from the memoir titled , The 13 Women of Nanjing, a story of a disillusioned American mortician that protected Chinese Catholic schoolgirls and adult women that were considered prostitutes. The parties sought refuge at a cathedral. It was a tale of unsung heroes during a forgotten genocide imperial Japan was administering upon the Pacific. Per acts of war at Pearl Harbor the powers that be of imperial Japan would've if they were of the impression they could to Hawai'i.
