Several days ago the world lost Tom Skerritt. There was a 1992 “erotic thriller" film titled ,Poison Ivy, starring Tom Skerritt and an 18-year-old ,Drew Barrymore
The film touted a Lolita archetype about a troubled toxic teenager that stemmed from a narcotic addict Mother and an abusive Father sent to a prestigious school by a scholarship. She ingratiates herself to the family of a wealthy girl named Sylvie that was grappling issues herself. Her Mother was stricken by emphesima and suicidal ideation and a midlife crisis induced Father. There’s a lot to unpack of that film that basically sexualized and infantilized a 15 year-old central figure. The character she was predisposed to that behavior from likely a young age a dog eat dog world, an opportunist certainly, manipulative, envy of the wealthy kids around her because she was poor, could be a sociopath, behavioral issues, personality disorder issues and hindsight was she had been studying Sylvie from the beginning to gather intel of how she could elevate herself, etc. The opening scene revealed precisely who she was. A dog had been hit by a car, fatally wounded but breathing. While Sylvie was comforting the dog Ivy bludgeoned the dog with a pipe revealing her true self. A cold, at any cost, detached being. That was red flag uno. Beings of that behavior reality don’t carry any qualms who’s lives they tarnish it’s a “I’m gonna get mine” at any cost. They’ll lie, cheat, tarnish, bully, cut throat, etc. Beings of that behavior will cause nada but dysfunction and harm of the lives of targets. During the film she brought nada but ill. Rebellion, encouraging dishonesty, infidelity of the Father, loss of job of the Father, murder of the Mother she framed as suicide, a car accident she fled the scene of and doctored so it would appear Sylvie was driving, etc. Nada but toxicity and dysfunction.
There’s a saying that goes, “Beware of those that have nothing to lose because they could cost you everything.” There’s a content creator I follow that posted about a female she was confidante to that basically betrayed and lied on her to a court of law etc. The matter like the majority of those cases was dropped. She speaks a great deal about jezebel male centered females and I would apply it to feminine males. Their deteto Women etc It is well served to be cognizant of the caliber of beings you permit into your life. That was the morale of the tale of Poison Ivy.
